Invisalign Clear Aligners

Invisalign is a set of clear aligners that effectively shift teeth in their correct positions. Similar to braces, Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that treats many misaligned issues. Patients with crossbites, open bites, overbites, underbites, and crowded teeth are advised to seek a consultation.

Benefits

The most popular reason why patients prefer Invisalign is because it is discreet! In other words, the clear aligners are less noticeable than metal wires and brackets. In addition, Invisalign can straighten teeth in 6 to 18 months which is great for those who want a quick treatment plan.

Also, Invisalign allows patients to eat normal foods. No dietary restrictions are needed because the aligners are removable. Simply remove your aligners before eating. Once done, brush your teeth before reinserting them. This prevents bacterial buildup.

What to Expect

Should Invisalign be recommended, your dentist will take digital images of teeth and mouth structure. The images are then sent to the Invisalign lab where your aligners are created.

Once the aligners are available to be picked up at the office, your dentist will explain your treatment in further detail. In general, each aligner must be worn for 23 hours a day. Only remove the aligners to brush and floss your teeth and while eating. After each meal, brush your teeth and reinsert your aligners. Lastly, change into a new aligner every 2 weeks.

Why Should I Straighten My Teeth?

Straightening teeth is more than cosmetics. In fact, straighter teeth are easier to clean which helps improve your oral health. This is because misaligned teeth are prone to dental health issues such as decay and gingivitis. Thanks to modern-day technology, patients have options on how to straighten their teeth.
